  • Base: 7oz spicy pork sausage 3.5oz stale baguette (cubed)
  • Veg: 4 scallions 1 tomato, 1 jalapeño, 2/3 cup grated sharp cheese
  • Custard: 6 eggs 1/2 cup half-and-half, 1/2 cup milk, 1 tsp smoked paprika

Method
 

Instructions
  1. Brown sausage meat in a skillet until crumbled and cooked through.
  2. Layer bread cubes, sausage, chopped veggies, and cheese in a greased casserole dish.
  3. Whisk eggs, milk, cream, and paprika. Pour over the layers.
  4. Let rest 15 minutes to allow bread to absorb the liquid.
  5. Bake at 350 degrees F (180 degrees C) for 30-40 mins until set, puffed, and golden.
