- Process sugar to fine powder. Sift half with flour.
- Whip egg whites and vanilla to stiff peaks. Gradually add remaining sugar.
- Gently fold in the flour mixture (do not deflate).
- Bake in an ungreased tube pan at 350 degrees F (180 degrees C) for 35 mins. Cool inverted.
- Simmer berries and honey for the sauce. Serve with cake.
