Main Ingredients
  • Sandwich: 2 thick slices white bread 3 slices applewood bacon, 2 lettuce leaves
  • Star: 4 slices Fried Green Tomatoes cornmeal crusted
  • Mayo: 2 tbsp mayonnaise 2 tsp lemon juice, 1 tbsp chopped basil

  • Frying pan
  • Toaster or Grill pan
  • Small bowl

Method
 

Instructions
  1. Mix mayonnaise, lemon juice, and basil in a small bowl.
  2. Grill or broil bacon until crispy. Drain on paper towels.
  3. Butter the bread and toast in a pan until golden.
  4. Spread toast generously with the basil mayo.
  5. Layer lettuce, warm fried green tomatoes, and bacon. close sandwich and serve.
