Ingredients
½ cup (16 g) dried chamomile flowers
¼ cup (8 g) dried lavender
¼ cup (10 g) dried orange peel
2 tablespoons dried rose petals
Instructions
1Gently toss the dried chamomile flowers, lavender, orange peel, and rose petals in a bowl until evenly combined. Transfer the mixture to an airtight glass jar. Keeping out moisture and air preserves the delicate floral oils.
2Boil water and pour it over the herbal blend, using about 2 teaspoons of the mixture per 1 cup (240 ml) of water.
3Let the tea steep for 3 to 5 minutes, then strain the liquid into a mug. Steeping too long can draw out bitter flavors from the lavender.
Notes
Storage: Keep the jar in a cool, dark pantry for up to 6 months for the best flavor.
Equipment: A metal tea ball or reusable cotton tea bag makes brewing single cups much easier.
Labeling: Use masking tape to date your jar so you know exactly when you mixed the batch.
