Fresh asparagus spears boiled and then baked with butter and Parmesan until a golden crust forms.

Ingredients
  

Main Ingredients
  • 2 pounds fresh asparagus
  • 2/3 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • Butter for dotting
  • Salt

Method
 

Instructions
  1. Trim asparagus (snap ends, peel stalks).
  2. Boil in salted water until easily pierced (approx 10 mins). Drain.
  3. Arrange in buttered baking dish in overlapping rows (tips over butts).
  4. Sprinkle each layer with salt, Parmesan, and butter dots.
  5. Bake at 450°F for ~15 mins until golden crust forms.
  6. Serve.
