Thin beef slices (scaloppine style) quickly seared and served with a sauce of tomatoes, onions, oregano, and black olives.

Ingredients
  

Main Ingredients
  • 1/2 medium onion, sliced thin
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 garlic cloves, sliced thin
  • 2/3 cup chopped tomatoes
  • Oregano
  • 1 dozen pitted black Greek olives
  • 1 pound boneless beef steaks (chuck), sliced <1/2 inch thick
  • Vegetable oil

Method
 

Instructions
  1. Sauté onion in olive oil. Add garlic, then tomatoes and oregano.
  2. Simmer 15 mins. Add olives, salt, pepper.
  3. In a separate hot skillet, grease with vegetable oil and brown beef very quickly.
  4. Transfer beef to tomato sauce.
  5. Turn to coat and serve.
