Ingredients
  

Main Ingredients
  • Dough: 2.25 tsp yeast 1 cup heavy cream, 4 tbsp butter, 1/2 cup sugar, 2 eggs, 5 cups flour
  • Spice Mix: 1 tbsp cinnamon 1/2 tbsp ginger, 1/2 tbsp nutmeg, 1/2 tbsp cloves, 1/2 cup confectioners’ sugar

Equipment

  • Deep fryer or pot
  • Mixer (dough hook)
  • Rolling Pin

Method
 

Instructions
  1. Make enriched yeast dough (knead 5-7 mins). Chill 4-6 hours.
  2. Roll out dough and cut into 1.5 inch squares.
  3. Fry in hot oil (375 degrees F) until puffed and golden.
  4. Mix spices with powdered sugar.
  5. Dust generously over hot beignets.
