Ingredients
- 7-oz. pkg. spaghetti, uncooked
- 1 lb. ground beef
- 1/2 c. onion, diced
- salt and pepper to taste
- 2 8-oz. cans tomato sauce
- 6-oz. can tomato paste
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 to 3 T. dried basil
- 1 to 2 t. dried oregano
Instructions
- 1Boil the spaghetti following the instructions on the package, then drain the water. Place a skillet over medium heat to brown the ground beef and diced onion, draining off any excess fat once cooked.
- 2Season the meat mixture with salt and pepper to your liking. Stir in the tomato sauce, tomato paste, minced garlic, dried basil, and dried oregano. Pour in a splash of water if the mixture seems too thick, then turn the heat down to low.
- 3Let the sauce simmer for 20 to 30 minutes, giving it a stir every so often. Spoon the hot meat sauce directly over the cooked spaghetti to serve.
