Ingredients
  

Main Ingredients
  • Steak: 4 tenderized steaks 5.5oz each, 1 cup milk, 1 egg, 1.75 cups flour, cayenne
  • Gravy: 1/4 cup flour 2 cups milk, plenty of black pepper
  • Home Fries Side: 2.25 lbs potatoes boiled/cubed, 4 bacon slices, onion, garlic

Equipment

  • Meat mallet
  • Frying pan
  • Shallow dishes

Method
 

Instructions
  1. Soak steaks in seasoned milk mix. Dredge in flour, back in milk, then flour again.
  2. Fry in hot oil until golden brown and crispy. Remove steaks.
  3. Make gravy: Whisk 1/4 cup flour into the pan drippings, cook briefly, then whisk in milk until thick. Season heavily with pepper.
  4. Prepare home fries by frying potatoes with bacon and onion.
  5. Serve steaks smothered generously in the white gravy.
