Air Fryer Nutty Buddy Granola

Crispy, sweet, and packed with toasted pecans, this homemade granola skips the oven entirely. You'll use your air fryer to toast rolled oats and nuts to a perfect golden brown in under ten minutes. A touch of maple syrup and butter creates those irresistible clusters you're looking for. Once it cools, toss in peanut butter chips and dried cranberries for a sweet and tart finish. It's a fantastic topping for your morning yogurt or a grab-and-go snack for busy afternoons.

Equipment

  • Air Fryer
  • Parchment paper

Ingredients

  • ⅓ cup old-fashioned rolled oats
  • 1 tablespoon chopped pecans
  • ½ tablespoon maple syrup
  • ½ tablespoon salted butter, softened
  • ¼ teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 ⁄ 16 teaspoon salt
  • 1 tablespoon peanut butter chips
  • 1 tablespoon dried cranberries, chopped

Instructions

  1. 1Combine the rolled oats, chopped pecans, maple syrup, softened butter, vanilla extract, and salt in a medium bowl until evenly coated. Thorough mixing ensures every oat gets toasted and sweet.
  2. 2Line the basket of an air fryer with parchment paper and poke a few holes in it to allow air circulation. Spread the oat mixture in a single layer on the parchment and air fry at 325°F for 4 minutes.
  3. 3Open the air fryer and shake the basket to toss the granola. This prevents the edges from burning while the center catches up. Reduce the temperature to 300°F and continue to air fry for 3 more minutes.
  4. 4Transfer the toasted granola to a medium bowl and let it cool completely for 20 to 30 minutes. Granola crisps up as it cools down.
  5. 5Stir in the peanut butter chips and chopped dried cranberries.

Notes

  • Scaling: You can easily double the ingredients to make a larger batch, just air fry in multiple shifts.
  • Serving: Try pairing the finished granola with fresh fruit and milk as a homemade cereal.
  • Swap: Trade the dried cranberries for raisins, chopped dried apricots, or any other dried fruit you prefer.
  • Storage: Keep in an airtight container at room temperature for up to a week.
