Baked Sesame Pork Strips

Baked Sesame Pork Strips

These crispy baked pork strips are coated in a savory sesame and mustard breading. Using a baking mix makes the coating quick to prepare, while a hot oven ensures a crunchy finish without deep frying. They work perfectly for a weeknight dinner or as a fun appetizer. Serve them hot with sweet-and-sour sauce or mustard for dipping.

Servings
4

Ingredients

  • 1 lb boneless pork loin chops, 1 inch thick
  • 1 1 ⁄ 4 cups Original Bisquick mix
  • 1 ⁄ 3 cup sesame seed
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon ground mustard
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 tablespoons milk
  • 2 tablespoons butter or margarine, melted

Instructions

  1. 1Preheat the oven to 400°F. Coat a 15x10x1-inch baking pan with one tablespoon of the melted butter. Trim any excess fat from the pork loin chops, then slice the meat into strips about 1/4-inch thick and 1/2-inch wide.
  2. 2Combine the baking mix, sesame seeds, salt, ground mustard, and paprika in a medium shallow dish. In a separate small bowl, whisk the eggs and milk together until smooth.
  3. 3Submerge the pork strips in the egg wash, allowing excess to drip off, then dredge them thoroughly in the seasoned baking mix. Arrange the coated strips in a single layer on the prepared baking pan and drizzle the remaining two tablespoons of melted butter over the top.
  4. 4Bake for 25 to 30 minutes, or until the coating turns golden brown and crispy.
  5. 5Transfer the hot strips to a platter and serve immediately with sweet-and-sour sauce or mustard for dipping.
