Cajun Country Rum Punch

A staple of southern Louisiana celebrations, this large-batch rum punch brings lively spirit straight to your glass. It mixes both light and dark rum with sweet red fruit punch and a heavy hit of tart citrus. Relying on frozen limeade and orange juice concentrates keeps the prep incredibly fast while delivering bold, refreshing flavor. You'll want to serve it well-chilled over plenty of ice to balance the sweet and punchy notes.

Ingredients

  • 1/2 (64-oz.) bottle red fruit punch
  • 1/2 (12-oz.) can frozen limeade concentrate, thawed
  • 1 (6-oz.) can frozen orange juice concentrate, thawed
  • 1 2/3 cups light rum
  • 1 2/3 cups dark rum

Instructions

  1. 1Combine the red fruit punch, thawed limeade concentrate, thawed orange juice concentrate, light rum, and dark rum in a large pitcher or punch bowl.
  2. 2Stir vigorously to dissolve the concentrates completely so the citrus flavor distributes evenly. Pour the mixed punch into individual glasses filled with ice.

Notes

  • Make ahead: Mix the punch up to a day in advance and store it in the fridge. Wait to add ice until right before pouring so the drink doesn't dilute.
  • Swap: If you can't find frozen limeade, fresh lime juice sweetened with a little simple syrup works just as well.
