Crisp on the outside and soft in the middle, these sweet roll-ups turn a classic breakfast into a fun finger food. You'll flatten standard white bread, coat it heavily with cinnamon sugar, and let the air fryer do the heavy lifting. It's a fantastic trick for transforming basic pantry staples into a warm, buttery morning treat. They're perfectly portioned for dipping straight into maple syrup.

Ingredients
2 (¾ " -thick) slices white bread
1 tablespoon salted butter, softened
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1 teaspoon granulated sugar
1 large egg
2 teaspoons 2% milk
1 tablespoon confectioners’ sugar
1 Lay bread slices on a cutting board. With a rolling pin, flatten bread slices.
Instructions
1Flatten the bread slices with a rolling pin so they're pliable enough to roll without tearing. Spread the softened butter evenly over the top of each slice.
2Sprinkle the cinnamon and granulated sugar over the butter, then tightly roll up each piece of bread.
3Whisk the egg and milk together in a small bowl. Dip the rolled bread into the mixture, turning to coat all sides completely.
4Lightly coat the air fryer basket with nonstick cooking spray. Arrange the coated rolls in the basket and cook at 350°F for 6 minutes until golden brown.
5Carefully remove the hot rolls from the air fryer using tongs and dust the tops with confectioners' sugar before serving.
Notes
Serving: Pair these rolls with a small bowl of warm maple syrup for dipping.
Bread choice: Standard soft white or whole wheat sandwich bread works best here. Thick artisan loaves won't flatten or roll easily.
Make ahead: You can assemble and roll the bread up to a day in advance, storing them in an airtight container in the fridge until you're ready to dip and air fry.
