This vibrant tequila cocktail blends tart cranberry puree with earthy fresh sage. Silver tequila, orange liqueur, and agave nectar balance the bright citrus and berry flavors perfectly. It makes a festive addition to holiday gatherings or weekend brunches. The drink delivers a refreshing, herbaceous bite finished with a sweet sugared rim.

Ingredients
6 oz (170 ml) ice cubes
1½ oz (45 ml) silver tequila (I recommend Herradura Silver)
½ oz (15 ml) orange liqueur
½ oz (15 ml) agave nectar
1½ oz (45 ml) freshly squeezed lime juice
6 fresh sage leaves
1 oz (30 ml) cranberry puree, store-bought or freshly made (recipe follows)
Instructions
1Gather the sugar, three fresh cranberries, and one fresh sage leaf to prepare the garnish and rim.
2Fill a cocktail shaker with ice cubes. Pour in the silver tequila, orange liqueur, agave nectar, freshly squeezed lime juice, six fresh sage leaves, and cranberry puree.
3Secure a tight-fitting lid onto the shaker. Shake the mixture vigorously 12 to 15 times so the ice breaks up slightly and chills the liquid completely.
4Spread the sugar in an even layer on a small, flat plate. Gently press the rim of a chilled martini glass into the sugar to coat the edges.
5Strain the chilled margarita into the prepared glass. Garnish the drink with the three fresh cranberries and the remaining sage leaf.
