Sweet summer berries and ripe bananas blend into a bright, refreshing drink that's exactly what you need on a warm morning. Natural yogurt adds a creamy tang that balances the fruit beautifully. The real secret here is passing the puree through a fine sieve, leaving all those pesky seeds behind. You'll end up with a velvety, perfectly smooth texture that goes down incredibly easy. It's a fantastic way to start the day or cool off in the afternoon.

Ingredients
2 large, ripe bananas, about 450g (1lb)
150g (5oz) natural yogurt
500g (1lb 2oz) fresh or frozen summer berries
Instructions
1Peel and chop the bananas, placing them directly into a blender. Pour in the natural yogurt and 150ml of water, blending until completely smooth. Add the summer berries and process everything into a thick puree.
2Set a fine sieve over a large jug and pour the blended mixture through it. Use the back of a ladle to press the liquid through the mesh, leaving the seeds behind. This extra step guarantees a velvety texture. Divide the smooth liquid among six glasses.
Notes
Make ahead: Blend the smoothie up to a day in advance and store it in an airtight jar in the fridge. Give it a good shake before drinking.
Swap: If you prefer a thicker, colder drink, use frozen berries instead of fresh ones.
Tip: Don't throw away the leftover berry seeds and pulp. Stir them into oatmeal or yogurt so nothing goes to waste.
