Artichoke wedges blanched, breaded, and fried until golden crisp. A perfect appetizer or side dish.

Ingredients
  

Main Ingredients
  • 3 medium artichokes (or 10oz frozen hearts)
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • 1 cup fine bread crumbs
  • Vegetable oil
  • Lemon (if using fresh)

Method
 

Instructions
  1. Trim and boil fresh artichokes with lemon for 5 mins (or thaw frozen).
  2. Dip wedges in egg, then breadcrumbs.
  3. Fry in shallow oil until crisp and brown.
  4. Drain on paper towels.
  5. Salt and serve immediately.
