3 medium artichokes (or 10oz frozen hearts)
1 egg, beaten
1 cup fine bread crumbs
Vegetable oil
Lemon (if using fresh)
Method
Instructions
Trim and boil fresh artichokes with lemon for 5 mins (or thaw frozen).
Dip wedges in egg, then breadcrumbs.
Fry in shallow oil until crisp and brown.
Drain on paper towels.
Salt and serve immediately.
