Broccoli florets dipped in egg and breadcrumbs, then fried until golden and crisp.

Ingredients
  

Main Ingredients
  • 1 medium bunch fresh broccoli (approx 1 lb)
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 cup fine, dry, unflavored bread crumbs
  • Vegetable oil
  • Salt

Method
 

Instructions
  1. Cut off florets (save stalks). Wash.
  2. Boil florets in salted water until tender-crisp. Cool.
  3. Cut larger florets lengthwise to be uniform.
  4. Dip in beaten egg, then bread crumbs.
  5. Fry in 1/2 inch hot oil until golden brown.
  6. Drain and salt.
