A refreshing twist on a classic cocktail brings bright citrus flavors to your glass. Fresh ruby grapefruit segments are muddled to release their sweet and tart juices. Silver tequila and orange liqueur provide a smooth, boozy foundation, while agave nectar balances the acidity of freshly squeezed lime. Serve this chilled drink with a salted rim for your next weekend gathering or taco night.

Ingredients
2 fresh grapefruit segments
6 oz (170 ml) ice cubes
1½ oz (45 ml) silver tequila (I recommend Herradura Silver)
½ oz (15 ml) orange liqueur
1 oz (30 ml) agave nectar
1 oz (30 ml) freshly squeezed lime juice
Salt for rim of glass
1 grapefruit segment
Instructions
1Drop the fresh grapefruit segments into a cocktail shaker and muddle them gently eight to ten times until completely crushed.
2Add the ice cubes to the shaker, then pour in the silver tequila, orange liqueur, agave nectar, and freshly squeezed lime juice.
3Secure a tight-fitting lid on the shaker and shake vigorously twelve to fifteen times to break up the ice and mix the liquids thoroughly.
4Spread the salt in an even layer on a small flat plate and press the rim of a chilled martini glass into it. Strain the shaken cocktail into the prepared glass and finish with a fresh grapefruit segment for garnish.
