Slow-Cooker Turkey Breast

A boneless turkey breast cooks gently in the slow cooker until perfectly tender and juicy. Butter and Cajun seasoning melt into the meat over several hours, creating a rich flavor profile with minimal effort. It is an ideal main course for busy weeknights or a scaled-down holiday dinner. The savory drippings left in the pot can easily be thickened into a quick gravy right before serving.

8 hr 10 min

Ingredients

  • 4-lb. boneless turkey breast
  • 2 to 4 T. butter, sliced
  • Cajun seasoning or seasoned salt to taste

Instructions

  1. 1Set the boneless turkey breast inside a slow cooker with the skin facing up. Distribute the sliced butter evenly across the top of the meat, rubbing it in slightly. Season the entire surface generously with Cajun seasoning or seasoned salt.
  2. 2Secure the lid and cook on the low setting for 6 to 8 hours until the meat is completely cooked through and no longer pink inside. Transfer the turkey to a serving platter and let it rest for 10 minutes before carving.

Notes

  • Save the savory juices left in the slow cooker to thicken into a quick homemade gravy.
