Main Ingredients
  • Ice Cream: 2.25 cups heavy cream 2 cups whole milk, 6 egg yolks, 1/2 cup sugar, 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • Sauce: 1 cup sugar 1 stick (8 tbsp) butter (cubed), 1/2 cup heavy cream, 1 tsp vanilla, 1 tsp sea salt
  • Topping: Chocolate-covered pretzels crushed

Method
 

Instructions
  1. Make custard: whisk yolks/sugar, add hot milk/cream, cook until thick. Chill and churn.
  2. Make sauce: melt sugar to amber color, whisk in butter, removal from heat.
  3. Whisk cream, vanilla, and salt into the caramel. Cool.
  4. Scoop ice cream into bowls.
  5. Top with warm caramel sauce and crushed chocolate pretzels.
