  • Veg: 24 okra pods sliced
  • Dredge: 1 cup flour 2 eggs, 1 cup cornmeal
  • Spice: 2 tsp smoked paprika 1 tsp cayenne, 2 tsp salt
  • Fry: Peanut oil

  • 3 bowls
  • Wire rack

Method
 

Instructions
  1. Set up a dredging station: spiced flour, beaten eggs, spiced cornmeal.
  2. Toss okra slices in flour, dip in egg, then coat thoroughly in cornmeal.
  3. Heat oil to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C).
  4. Fry in batches for 3-5 mins until golden brown.
  5. Drain on a rack and serve with cider vinegar.
