2 to 3 fresh, very firm round tomatoes
1 egg
Flour
Bread crumbs
Vegetable oil
Salt

Instructions
Slice tomatoes horizontally (1/2 inch thick). Remove seeds gently.
Dredge in flour.
Dip in beaten egg.
Coat in bread crumbs.
Fry in 1 inch hot oil until dark golden crust forms.
Salt and serve piping hot.
