Hot Pepper Jelly

This jelly is an easy introduction to preserving. It balances the heat of jalapeños with the sweetness of honey and green peppers. Delicious served over cream cheese with crackers.

Ingredients
  

Main Ingredients
  • Peppers: 14oz 400g jalapeños (finely chopped), 3.5oz (100g) green bell peppers (seeded/chopped)
  • Base: 2 tbsp pectin 1.5 cups white vinegar, 2 cups honey

  • Saucepan
  • Jars

Method
 

Instructions
  1. Puree peppers in a food processor.
  2. Boil puree with pectin, vinegar, and honey.
  3. Simmer 10 mins.
  4. Pour into jars and seal.
  5. Set 1 hour before serving.
