- Fry crumbled sausage meat until cooked; remove. Fry shallots and garlic.
- In a large bowl, mix torn bread, cooked sausage, chestnuts, and vegetables.
- Pour hot chicken stock over the mixture to moisten the bread.

- Bake at 350 degrees F (180 degrees C) for 35-40 mins until the top is crisp.
