Ingredients
  

Main Ingredients
  • Meats: 1 lb 2oz chicken thighs 1 lb 2oz chorizo (sliced), 1 lb 2oz shrimp
  • Base: Onion green pepper, celery, garlic
  • Liquid: 2 cans tomatoes 1 lemon (juice), Worcestershire sauce, hot sauce
  • Carb: 1 cup orzo pasta

Equipment

  • Large pot or Dutch oven
  • Frying pan
  • Pot (for pasta)

Method
 

Instructions
  1. Brown chicken thighs in the main pot, then remove. Sauté the aromatic vegetables in the fat.
  2. Add tomatoes, spices, and 4 cups water. Return chicken and simmer for 1.5-2 hours.
  3. While simmering, cook orzo separately until tender and fry chorizo in a pan.
  4. Remove chicken, discard bones, and shred the meat. Return to the pot along with the chorizo and shrimp.
  5. Cook for 5 mins, then stir in the cooked orzo and lemon juice.
